I frogged about 7 semi-done projects this evening. I was going through the yarn/pattern/project/whatever pile next to the chaise of supreme creativity, and I just realized...none of them were doing it for me. It turns out, rather than being lulled and speeding through stockinette projects, I just get...bored. Double-pointed needles are cool. There's an element of excitement in lace, or patterns with shape, or just about anything that isn't miles of plain knit. Pretty much everything I frogged was a giant rectangle.

It turns out, my knitting has hidden depths. Who knew?

I will occasionally knit scarves to get rid of yarn for which I have no other ideas. I gravitate toward lace and brioche stitch patterns. I'm about to start a seed stitch one for a friend because I don't have enough yarn for brioche stitch and he won't appreciate lace. Not looking forward to it. Not sure there are enough movies in the world to keep me from ripping my hair out.

Oh, god, I get so tired of stockinette. Especially if they're in the round and all I'm doing is knit knit knit knit for eternity.

I love doing lace and funky things though I sometimes regret having to spend so much attention on them so I can't do two things at once. That being said I knit four washcloths while visiting my parents, two lace and two pattern stitches.
