I can't read horror, but I can read reviews.

So this author I sort-of know (hi wednes) is giving away her book for free on Kindle today.  And I feel odd mentioning it, because I haven't read the book, and I'm not GOING to read the book. It's nothing to do with her- her blog entries are funny and smart, and the samples of her work that I've been able to read are wonderful. Imaginative, evocative, all those other words people use when they mean "I couldn't have dreamed that shit up!"

But I'm a wuss, and I can't do horror. I especially can't do intensely creepy horror, the kind of mind-fuck that Wednesday Lee Friday writes. But you? You probably can, or know someone who would love it. So go snag a free copy of her book.
