Thing #1- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is hooooot.
Thing #2- "The Rundown" is probably one of the slashiest movies I've ever seen.
Thing #4- There is such an APPALLING lack of "Rundown" slash on the intarwebz, I cannot even deal. It's so empty that I even tried writing a story once. It didn't go anywhere.
Thing #5- This is why I was amazed to discover that there was a lovely story I hadn't read yet, by [ profile] stillane - "Settle" (Travis/Beck, post-movie)
I love this vid. It's been rec'd to hell and back, probably everyone has seen it, but I don't care, it's amazing.

But What Are Your Thoughts on Yaoi? by [ profile] with_a_kay

This is the comment I sent [ profile] lambourngb after she sent me that link this morning.

*babbles incoherently*'s just so random! So beautifully, wonderfully, random! And so...the voices! And the FRUIT BASKET!

An excerpt:

Sam likes Dr. Brennan, he really does. But she's, well.

She starts conversations with: "Booth thinks you're sexually interested in your brother, and I agree with him."

Sam spits his coffee out all over the table.

And pretty much, that feeling carries through the whole story. It's absurd, and random, and wonderfully funny. There's no explanation for why they know each other, though the impression is that they had a case that crossed, and oh, poor Booth.

*draws hearts all around this story*

What? It's not 3:45. No. You're totally hallucinating that.

Also, if you have any love for insanely funny, SWEET, heartbreaking fic, you should go read this:

Star Shaped by [ profile] harriet_vane

A sequel/offshoot to something else I haven't read, but you get enough of the backstory, and...OH. OH.

I have no words for how happy it made me.

Or if I did, they were lost somewhere around the 2 am mark, when I first got back up after not sleeping for 3 hours.

Firefly/Supernatural crossover
slash, Dean/Mal

When I first heard the words "Firefly/Supernatural crossover", I was not filled with a great sense of glee.  I just didn't think it could be done that well.

Hooray for being wrong!  This story rocks!  I wish I had written this story.  I wish there was a whole RAFT of these stories.  I wish it wasn't over now.  I wish it hadn't left me feeling so bad for Dean, and bad for Mal, and bad for them both together, even while I was happy.  It's a terrible twist of emotion.  Zoe is also quite bitchin, as are Kaylee, River, Jayne, and Simon.

Go and give this author love!
