Con.txt

I think, no matter how much I try to tweak my finances, that Con.txt is just not going to happen for me this year. (I know, wah, get a real problem.) I just looked at the potential programming, and realized that it's a week before I go to Seattle for the Collective vacation, and it's just not going to happen.

This bums me. I think I will try to find a couple panels at Balticon to quench my fannish thirst, but for my own sake, I think I need to mentally take Con.txt off the table this year. I can't believe it's in Silver Spring, and I'm going to miss it AGAIN. Boo. Hiss.

Ah well. I hope everyone else has a really great time, and if someone wanted to spread massive amounts of Psych, White Collar OT3, and Leverage OT3 love for me, I wouldn't object!
Hah. Not only do I want her job, but this woman has managed to sum up exactly the fluttery feeling I get when I listen to Fall Out Boy. And you know? I am going to stop qualifying it. I am going to stop making myself feel strange and awkward and self-conscious about it. For whatever reason, these songs, and this band, and those words all make me feel GOOD.

Feeling good is one of my new life goals.
Have any of you heard of Grand Derangement (I'm not doing the little accented e. Alt+numbers = scary)? According to the brochure for the local theatre they'll be performing at on 5/2/09, they are "...Ireland by way of Canada...rock-inspired Celtic tunes with a little French chanson thrown in. In an all-out explosion of lights, sound, contagious rhythms, and amazing step dancers, Nova Scotia's young, hip ambassadors defy you to sit still."

Hi. I don't know if you know me or not, but that? That right there? That's my kind of music. (Amongst many others, but I think it's telling that the song I would pick as the soundtrack to my life is Ashley MacIsaac's "Wingstock".)

So basically, what I mean is, someone hit me with some tracks if you've got them, because I'm at work and I try to limit my torrent searching on the clock.
